Roofing

Roofs that can take an Arizona summer.

Arizona is hard on roofs. Between the sun, the heat, and monsoon storms, they wear out faster here than in most places. We repair and replace residential roofs with that in mind.

Overview

It starts with an inspection

Your roof is your home's first line of defense, and in Arizona it works harder than almost anywhere else. Every job starts with an inspection. We'll tell you what's fine, what needs work now, and what can wait, so you can decide based on what's actually there.

When it's time for a new roof, we pay attention to the things that cause leaks later: the underlayment, the flashing, the ventilation, and every spot where something comes through the roof.

Local Expertise

What's different about roofs here

  • On a tile roof, the tile usually outlasts the underlayment beneath it. Replacing the underlayment and re-laying the tile can add decades to the roof.

  • Monsoon wind and rain find weak flashing and loose tile fast. That's usually where we start looking.

  • Reflective "cool roof" materials can cut down on summer heat gain and your cooling bill.

Common questions

My tile roof looks fine. Does it need work?

Maybe. Concrete and clay tile can last for decades, but the underlayment under it usually doesn't in this heat. If your roof is 20 or more years old, or you're seeing leaks or ceiling stains, it's worth having someone look at it.

Do you handle monsoon storm damage?

Yes. We'll inspect the roof, make it safe, and do the permanent repairs. We'll also document the damage, which helps if you're filing an insurance claim.
